The text on this artwork includes stream of consciousness thought bubbles and a personal essay written by the artist about the death of her friend, Prince Jones who was killed by a police officer in 1998. The McArthur fellow, writer Ta-Nehesi Coates, dedicated his book, Between the World and Me to the same friend. This is one of four artworks made by the artist about people (two friends, a neighbor, and a cousin-in-law) to the artist who were killed at different times by police between 1998 and 2010.
