This autobiographical artwork details a time when the artist and her boyfriend quickly switched seats so that it would appear that she was driving when they passed white cops. The boyfriend said he had a warrant because of many unpaid parking tickets accumulated by himself and his daughter. The cops did indeed come chasing after them and appeared confused to that the artist was driving. The cops searched the car aggressively and asked many offensive questions using slang the couple did not understand. The boyfriend, a former marine, was able to read the symbols and pins on the uniforms of the cops and make enough polite small talk that diffused tension before the couple was released without incident.
